The Gausepohl Group is a multi-level family business operating in the food industry and combines three business units: “Food & Retail”, “Food & Trade” and “Industry”. The core business includes the processing and refining of meat and sausage products under the “Die Thüringer” and now also “Schildauer” brands. The subsidiary MJM Meatprocessing & Handels GmbH is a specialized cutting plant that ensures a reliable supply of raw materials and also serves the Asian market. Since 2018, the company has been managed by the brothers Franz-Josef and Moritz-Willy Gausepohl, the second generation of the family to do so.
