EAM, headquartered in Kassel, was founded in 1929 and is an important energy supplier for around 1.4 million people in the regions of Hesse, southern Lower Saxony and parts of North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Rhineland-Palatinate. As a 100% municipal company, EAM ensures a secure energy supply, develops future-oriented solutions for its customers and thus makes a significant contribution to the energy transition in the region. The company currently employs around 1,700 people at over 20 locations and operates over 50,000 kilometers of electricity and natural gas networks. In addition, EAM is a cross-sector producer, marketer and service provider for renewable energies and CO2-free heat. In 2023, the energy supplier generated a turnover of around 1.2 billion euros.
