Partnership

The DEZ Gruppe (Dach Energie Zukunft) was established by Vidia Climate Fund I and focuses on sustainable roofing solutions. The focus is on the energy-efficient renovation and installation of photovoltaic systems on industrial and commercial flat roofs in order to promote the decarbonization of the building sector and to exploit energy-related potential.

An important partnership within the DEZ Gruppe exists with the Wierig Gruppe, a family-owned company with a rich tradition and over 130 years of experience. Wierig specializes in the sealing and renovation of flat roofs and the installation of photovoltaic systems for industrial and commercial customers. With over 200 employees at five locations in Germany, the company offers complete solutions from planning and execution to long-term maintenance and monitoring of roof systems. In December 2023, the Vidia Climate Fund I acquired a majority stake in the Siegburg-based Wierig Group with the strategy of leveraging operational value enhancement potential and increasing the group’s clout through selected add-on acquisitions.

“We are firmly convinced that we have found the perfect solution together. The well-being of our employees, the preservation of our identity and the safeguarding of the continued existence of JNS were always our top priorities. With Alexander as a future shareholder of the combined group, we can ensure that all these values and goals continue to be preserved.”
